The main stakeholders of COGERSA concerning waste management are the municipalities (including their citizens), the sewage plants, hospitals and the industries of Asturias. The services focused on them are:

• Urban collection of municipal mixed waste
• Separate collection (light packaging, paper/cardboard, glass)
• Recycling points
• Transfer stations
• Waste treatment

The society and the market demand sustainable recovered materials which can be satisfied by the recovering processes of COGERSA:

• Different kind of compost (eco-labelled, sewage sludge, anaerobic digestion)
• Electricity from biogas and waste-to-energy
• Materials for recycling such as plastics (HDPE, LDPE, PET…), scrap (ferric and aluminium), glass, cardboard, paper, oil, wood, brik
• Graded aggregates 

Regarding the environmental campaigns, the education centres (mainly primary, secondary and high schools) as well as the citizens and the municipal bodies are the key stakeholders. In this field, COGERSA offers free services such as:

• Resources for waste recycling
• Technical advice
• Promotion of 3Rs in fairs, municipal events, waste/environment events, etc.
• 3R networks (e.g. schools for recycling)
• Visitor centre
